Loss Weight Hoodia Patch Useful Tip

Even though there have been a number of claims about the effectiveness of weight loss patches, people are being warned by the US Federal Trade Commission that these claims may be exaggerated and should not believe everything they read as there are some unscrupulous companies supplying low grade products. The patches work in a number of ways including introducing chemical substances to reduce the appetite of the user and speeding up the fat burning process.

They are said to work along the same lines as the weight loss tablets, although they are more effective because the chemical substances are introduced directly and bypass the stomach where valuable nutrients can often be dissolved making the pills ineffective. It has long been known that patches with slow release chemical substances work more efficiently than those of tablets as the chemicals are released directly into the bloodstream which means they start working faster and are not diluted down.

This is a recognized and safe system of delivering chemical substances and is only able to work with molecules small enough to be able to pass through the dermis or skin and into the blood. This allows a massive ninety five percent of the medication to be absorbed which is far higher than traditional methods of delivery.

The hardest part of making this type of process viable is finding molecules small enough to be able to do this because if they were only a little larger it wouldn’t work. There are a number of chemicals found in weight loss patches, although they are all pretty much the same as those found in other weight loss systems.

The claims made for the effectiveness of these weight loss patches are still debatable and consumers should not believe everything they read or hear about them as other factors are involved. Although the chemical substances are indeed administered as mentioned (the legitimate patches that is), there is the psychological effect to consider when a patch is worn that is difficult to measure that can aid the person who is using it to remain on a diet.

To ensure the patches work at their best, they should be stuck to clean dry areas on the body, preferably the back. If the area is hairy then the wearer has two choices, move the patch to an area without hair or shave the hair off.

This will make sure that the weight loss patch won’t only stick better (ensuring optimum absorption), but removal will also be relatively easy and pain-free. In case where weight loss patches get removed or wet, they can still be used although they are not guaranteed to work at the same rate as a newly-put weight loss patch would. As with any weight loss supplement, weight loss skin patches are most effective when used in conjunction with a healthy eating plan and regular exercise, and shouldn’t be relied on as a sole means of losing weight.
